THE POWER OF THE MOB LONG NOSE CLAMPING PLIERS: ITS CLAMPING POWER
Our rack and pinion locking pliers combine all of MOB's know-how to guarantee you reliable and powerful clamping:
- Chrome vanadium alloy steel jaws, forged and tempered to achieve a tooth hardness of 58/60 HRC.
- Protection of the body and jaws by chrome plating.
- Protection of the body and jaws by chrome plating.
- A powerful grip by a toothing over the entire depth of the bit: the piece does not slip.
- A machined groove in the upper jaw which facilitates the gripping of round parts, in the axial position.
OPENING ADJUSTMENT AND TIGHTENING PRECISION
To facilitate adjustment, our long, articulated and extra-long models have a 5-position rack.
Beyond the first setting, the millimeter wheel allows you to:
- fine-tune the setting: the wheel moves the jaws apart or brings them together finely.
- to give more power: the wheel adjusts the clamping force.
Julien,
Technical service in assembly and welding works.

Because you all have different working habits, there are three methods to adjust the opening of our rack and pinion locking pliers.
- « Most often I close the mouth of the pliers (the 2 jaws!) with one hand on the assembly", on the handle side the pliers must be closed. “It is the most natural for me. And it is above all the fastest, which means that the clamp is self-adjusting. »
- « I'm not afraid to hold the mobile jaw and move it" to access the right opening.»
- « Or, for beginners, use the small "buttons" of the rack, putting your hand on either side of the bit, and lower to place in the desired notch. The overrun of the axis allowing easy movement.»
A simple locking system: just squeeze your hand on the handle side. Did you hear a click? Your locking pliers are locked!

UNLOCK SECURELY
Ergonomic and easy to use, the MOB vice-grip pliers offer you a particularly soft release allowing you to work in safety.
- One-hand unlocking: unlocking is done by simply pressing the red button with the little finger or the last two fingers. The hand remains on the handle.
- Soft release: the mechanism is flexible, the handle shifts little and unlocking is smooth. There is no unlocking shock which avoids the risk of injury.
- A protected release button for added security. Unlike some protruding triggers, the release button is placed at the end of the handle, sheltered behind the sleeve, which avoids any accidental unlocking.
